"World
Wide Request Show" makes it's debut Nov. 17 1996 on 85 Radio Max
Radio's first "World Wide Reqest Show" makes it's debut this
Sunday (November 17th 1996) on 85 Radio Max.
Spearheaded by Hugh Dobbie and Dowco Communications
located in Coquitlam, B.C. and broadcasting from the Dowco
office over the last month, the show will now originate from the 85
Radio Max studios in Abbotsford.
The show has already been enjoying great success even though
it has only been accessible by the way of the World Wide Web.
With Sunday's debut from 85 Radio Max,
Valley and West Coast listeners will be
able to participate in what will be the first
"World Wide Retro Rock Request Show"
with Tom Lucas. Locally it will be heard
Sunday nights 5pm-9pm Pacific Time at
850 on the AM dial, or on the World Wide
Web at www.fraservalley.com. The World
Wide Retro Rock Request Show utilizes state of the art
streaming audio technology pioneered by RealAudio (TM) and
heard in real time.
In the Central Valley Max listeners can make requests at
859-2387, from Vancouver 524-6829, and throughout North
America toll free 1-800-422-2122. E-mail requests also will be
