Sometimes RealMedia viewers have a problem viewing streaming media due to a firewall issue or some kind of protocol restriction from their ISP. This problem can sometimes be corrected by following the steps below:

(note: If you are still experiencing a problem after completing these steps please consult your network administrator)

1. Click the "view" menu on your real player interface and choose "preferences" from the drop-down menu
(note: this menu item is not visible when the player is in compact mode)

2. Click the "transport" tab.

3. Select "use specified transports:" and click the "RTSP Settings" button.

4. Deselect the first two of the three selection boxes so that "Attempt to use TCP for all content." is the only one selected.

5. Click "ok" twice.

(please note that after completing these steps you must stop and re-start the player in order for these changes to take effect)
